“I was ripe to be screwed, 40 miles from home, had to pull off the tollway because my car was overheating. But the guys at Tuffys treated me right. They were honest, a 13 year old car with 143K miles on it. They told me straight up, it was either a major repair costing a few hundred or I might need a new engine block costing a few thousand. I thanked them for their honesty. They gave me a few tips on how to safely get myself home. Time for a new car. I don’t live anywhere near there, but if I did, I wouldn’t hesitate to go there again. “I get it, going to the mechanic is scary and you're taking a leap of faith hoping whatever needed for your car is as reasonably priced and as fast as possible. Tuffy is definitely a trustworthy place to go, I've had a couple repairs here and the guys are honest, they never try to upsell you and will even tell you if a repair is worth the price/if they think it's a good or bad idea. I had to go in a couple weeks ago to get my master cylinder fixed, with the price quoted/online coupon (seriously, use their coupons) I paid lower than the average quoted price for the repair. Obviously your mileage may vary (no pun intended) but these guys are the real deal. I have to get a new axle/oil change soon and they're gonna be the first guys I go to. ”

“I took a chance on Tuffy's after looking for somewhere to get the oil changed on my vehicle. I requested a quote online and got an email back within a few hours explaining that they needed further information before giving me the correct quote when I called the following day they were amazing on the phone. I made the appointment and they were prompt and even not having the part there got me out in just about an hour. I paid a lot less for the same oil change that would have gotten where I was used to going. “When Dan, at Tom's Service in Wheaton, retired, I was hoping to find another trustworthy car repair business to take care of my Ford Explorer. After a while, checking on similar businesses in Wheaton, Glen Ellyn, Carol Stream, and Glendale Heights I came across Tuffy Tire & Auto Service at 1153 Bloomingdale Rd., Glendale Heights. The manager, Mr. Amin Wahdan, gave me a quote for needed repairs after the oil was changed and the seasonal check-up was performed. Once again, Ron Murnieks, owner, took very good care of me, and did the repair work that he had pointed out on my last visit with an estimate. It was done by days’ end as promised. “I brought my 2002 Lincoln continental in for a transmission problem and a dead instrument cluster. after diagnosing the car the next day they told me the problem was missing and misplaced fuses.they pointed out other problems like a radiator leak,etc. gave me a cost of repair.very professional and trustworthy in my opinion.i had been to this shop a few years ago and was not very happy,these are new owners and very good at what they do.I definitely recommend them.”

“On Monday, 11-11-13, I brought my car to Tuffy Auto Service at 1153 Bloomingdale road in Glendale Heights Illinois. My car had failed the state emissions test. I talked with a Tuffy technician and he reassured me that they could fix my car. In all my years I have never been treated with such courtesy and respect by a mechanic.
